Sam Jermy of 12th Realm Studios was looking for a logo for his start-up games development company but was unsure of whether to go for a futuristic feel, or something more ancient in style.
I chose to merge both old and new in this portal design with the stone structure of the portal ring breaking away to reveal a more modern inner mechanism.
Once again, the Video Production Company, Lambda Films contacted me about some illustrations which were required for another client. This time, a video was being produced for the NHS and simple yet eye catching illustrations were needed.
Lab equipment, characters, buildings and medical devices were just a few of the items within the lengthy asset list.
This Pirate Sale artwork was produced for an e-commerce site selling electrical goods at reduced prices. The brief called for a collection of fun characters and bright colours. There was also a more detailed pirate produced for mascot use.
Silky Mitts and Gruffy is a private commission that I produced in the style of a traditional comic.
The cover features "Silky Mitts" playing the role of the princess with "Gruffy" taking the part of the prince. Gruffy likes red wine, wearing boots and is a hair stylist. His pet hamster also makes an appearance in the piece.
I also produced the piece in a distressed old-comic style
Zero Dependency is a game development company started in 2010 by Andy Esser, and Phil Hurst.
Andy contacted me when the company required a new logo. A sprocket was an important feature from their previous logo and needed to be included in the new one.
The Video Production Company, Lambda Films contacted me about providing illustrative content for a promotional video. The brief called for a collection of cut-out illustrations to be featured in the video for the car sharing company Liftshare.
Images included a selection of cars, buildings and other assets such as a bag of groceries, human figures and trees. The video shows the benefits of the car sharing scheme and the savings that can be made while helping the environment too!
"Chimera is a cross-platform C++ Engine, based on OpenGL rendering technology based on an architecture that allows newcomers to programming and experts alike to get into games development and unlock the powerful features of modern computers"
I produced this illustration to show what is possible using this game development engine.
The brief for the logo called for a mythical style Chimera creature that could feature across the branding and advertising of the product. I decided upon the heads of a Lion and Dragon for the creature.
I receive many requests for characters of all shapes, sizes and species. I have drawn everything from Mice to Elephants and People to Aliens!
This often includes going beyond a simple drawing and into full character development including initial sketches, visualization of a character's personality, a variety of poses and turn around's.
Old School Reasons are a Pop Punk Band from Cambridgeshire, UK.
I am very proud to have produced their current logos and the cover for their single "27"
I have worked on many projects for Joanna Sheen Ltd some of which have included use of my own illustrations and designs for products.
The board game brief called for a collection of characters, logo and board artwork based upon layouts provided by the client.
Along with the board, I also provided artwork for the game pieces, rewards, box and logos
The brief from Clarks Shoes was for a small 20 page, black and white comic with color cover intended as a pack-in for their Jack Nano range of shoes. Our Hero, Jack Nano and his fiends "The Nano Bots" hear some strange noises coming from the undergrowth, could it be someone that needs rescuing from impending doom? Equipped with his rocket pack, Jack takes flight!
The cover also included a circular maze and a color illustration of Jack Nano and the Nano Bots!
I was asked by Matt at Illumic Digital to produce an image for use on his 3D critique site. The image was to contain a collection of characters crowded around an artist sitting at a Drawing Board, offering critique on her work.
Initially the characters comprised of a Lay Figure, Teddy Bear, Ninja, Mature Artist and of course the Illustrator herself. Early during sketching it was decided to replace the Bear with a Rabbit and to replace the Ninja with a 3D Figure Ball.
Sometimes a sketch or a concept is as far as an illustration gets. This can be for various reasons, perhaps a change of direction, practice or maybe just trying out something new.
Its fun to put well known characters into scenes where they would not usually appear. It also brings with it the opportunity to try out different art styles.
I claim no copyright on the characters depicted in the images on this page.
This is a commission of a customized Tractor which I produced for a client. Low profile tires, spoiler, front splitter and a powerful engine with shiny stainless pipes make this tractor more at home on a drag strip
